Our Embassy in Chisinau
The British Embassy in Chisinau is the official representation of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in the Republic of Moldova.
The mission of the British Embassy in Chisinau is to work for a Better World, Better Britain by working in - and with - Moldova.
To achieve this the Ambassador and other staff of the Embassy engage in a wide range of politicial, academic, business and cultural activities and maintain contacts with Moldovan politicians, officials, media and civil society representatives.
Global Network
The Embassy forms part of the United Kingdom Foreign and Commonwealth Office’s (FCO) global network of staff, Embassies and other offices around the world which serve the whole of the United Kingdom Government, including partners such as the Department for International Development , the Ministry of Defence and the British Council

Policy Goals

- prevent and resolve conflict
- promote a low carbon, high growth, global economy
- develop effective international institutions, above all the UN and EU
Our work on preventing and resolving conflict includes promoting and developing human rights, democracy and good governance

- an FCO Strategy on Child Rights
- an FCO Programme for Promoting the Human Rights of LGBT People , which is supported by a Toolkit.
