Improving governance and the institutional environment for poverty reduction
1. Project title /amount: Support to the Delivery of Effective and Sustainable Social Assistance Services (joint programme with SIDA, total £ 3mln) / £ 1.5 mln
Project description: The goal of the proposed joint programme of assistance is to reduce poverty and protect social groups at risk by improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the social assistance system. The purpose is to develop the policy and institutional framework to support the delivery of effective and sustainable social assistance services in Moldova.

2. Project title /amount: Support to the Court of Accounts of Moldova (through Multi Donor Trust Fund) / £ 728,536
Project description: The goal of the project is to provide technical assistance to the Court of Audit of the Republic of Moldova in the development and implementation of a Strategic Development Plan for the next three years.

Project description: The trust fund will support the implementation of Moldova’s Government Public Administration reform program outlined in the Strategy of Reform of the Central Public Administration (CPAR Strategy) and its implementation plan.

4. Project title /amount: Poverty Reduction Structural Credit (through Multi Donor Trust Fund) / £ 1,500,000
Project description: The proposed credit aims to enhance Government’s ability to accelerating economic growth and improve the efficiency of its social programs and public administration – key elements in poverty reduction. To this end, the proposed PRSC will support selective areas of the Government’s reform agenda, as outlined in the EGPRSP and EU-Moldova Action Plan.

5. Project title /amount: Educational Inclusion for Disabled Children in Moldova (funded through DFID Civil Society Challenge Fund) / £ 499,930
Project description: The goal of the project is to achieve the social inclusion of those with disabilities in Moldova. The initiative seeks to increase school attendance in disabled children, raise awareness on disability rights, combat disability prejudice, enhance advocacy in the families of disabled children and build capacity in disability organisations.

Project description: The project goal is to reduce the levels of poverty and inequality in Moldova as a result of economic growth. The project purpose is: GoM has in place the systems and procedures to implement a national strategy for regional development that promotes inclusive economic growth.
